Patricia Ann (Sullivan) Lang, 81, of Shillington, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 3, 2025, in the Heritage of Green Hills. Born in Minneapolis, MN, she was the daughter of the late Alma (Rehm) and Glenn C. Sullivan. She graduated from Washburn High School and continued her education throughout her life. She received a B.S. in nursing from Adelphi University, Ed.M. From Temple University, M.S. from Villanova University along with taking doctoral courses at both Temple and Widener University. Pat originally worked as part of the nursing faculty at Georgetown University before entering the educational field. She was a Social Worker and then a School Counselor serving the Chester County Intermediate Unit for over 20 years. She served on the Great Valley School Board for 16 years, 4 of those years serving as President. In 1994 she was the President of the Pennsylvania School Board Association. She was an avid bridge player. She enjoyed painting, swimming and traveling in her younger years. Pat loved her chihuahuas Bailey and Bandit who kept her company for many years.
Pat is survived by her children, Scot Lang, husband of Jennifer, and Kristi Douglass, wife of Jeffrey and her grandchildren, Cooper and Abby Lang and Colin, Logan and Dylan Douglass.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 15th, 2025, at 1:00 pm, at the Heritage of Green Hills, 200 Tranquility Lane, Shillington PA, 19607. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in honor of Patricia A. Lang to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
