Patricia A. (Preston) Kitterman, 78, of Wyomissing, passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Bernice (Lebo) Preston. Pat was married to Larry M. Kitterman and together they would have shared 56 years of marriage in August. She graduated from the Reading Hospital School of Nursing and worked at the Reading Hospital as a Registered Nurse for 10 years. She also worked at Community General Hospital and volunteered with the Red Cross. Pat was a devoted member of Holy Cross United Methodist Church, and especially enjoyed being part of the Bell Choir.
Pat will be remembered as soft-spoken, sweet, and gentle by no one. She was straight-talking, sarcastic, and a lot of fun. She cherished every moment with her family, particularly her grandchildren. She loved to watch her grandchildren’s performances and cheer on their sports teams (but definitely not yell at the refs). Pat enjoyed traveling the world with Larry and friends, in search of great food and wine.
In addition to her husband, Larry, Pat is survived by her daughters, Michele L. Rossi, of Lititz, and Jennifer A. Flannery, wife of Clay of Downingtown. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Connor, Morgan, and Mia.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 11:00 am in Holy Cross United Methodist Church, 329 N. 5th Street, Reading, Reverend Mandy S. Miller to celebrate. The family will receive friends and relatives from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 12th in Holy Cross UMC. Pat’s final resting place will be Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you enjoy a good meal with friends or plan travel to somewhere you’ve always wanted, like Pat would have. Bean Funeral Homes, Sinking Spring is in charge of arrangements and online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com.
