Naomi Elberta Widener (Hasker), 89, of Mohnton, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at the Reading Hospital. She was the loving wife to Howard J. Widener for over 52 years, before his passing on February 6, 2011. Born in Reading, Naomi was the daughter of the late Clair S. and Blanche V. (Albright) Hasker. Naomi graduated from Kutztown University with a Bachelor’s in Education, class of 1955, and went on to work as an educator for Reading School District. She attended the former Bible Truth Chapel and now attended Monterey Chapel, Leola. Her hobbies and interests included flowers and gardening, bird watching, word search puzzles, music, singing, and her family.
Naomi is survived by her daughters, Ellen R. Widener, of Mohnton, and Beth L. Luna (Widener), wife of Michael P. of Mohnton. She is also survived by her honorary granddaughters, Londyn and Gianna Witmer.
Graveside service will be held at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 W Neversink Road, Reading on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 2:00 PM. A Memorial service for Naomi will be held at Conestoga Mennonite Church, 2779 Main Street, Morgantown, PA on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 7:00 PM. The family will receive guests and relatives at the church on Friday, from 6:00 PM to 6:45 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Christian Mission in Many Lands, P.O.
