Nancy Foley Baksa, 72, of Morgantown, PA, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at 7:34 PM in Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA. Born in Hazard, KY, she was the daughter of the late Charles Spurgeon and Hazel Porter Foley. Nancy graduated from Hazard High School. She continued her education at Cumberland College, Williamsburg, KY and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. On July 6, 1968, Nancy married Bruce E. Baksa at the First Presbyterian Church in Rahway, NJ. She was employed as a School Teacher with the Carteret Public Schools in Carteret, NJ. After teaching for a few years, Nancy made the decision that she wanted nursing as a career. She graduated from Middlesex County College in Edison, NJ with an Associate in Applied Science degree in Nurse Education. As a Registered Nurse, Nancy was employed as a Staff Nurse at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield, NJ and then as a School Nurse at Elizabeth Public Schools in Elizabeth, NJ. In addition to her husband, Nancy is survived by her son Robert B. Baksa, husband of Sharon L. Baksa, of Edison, NJ and two grandchildren, Rachel L. Baksa and Grace E. Baksa. Also, Nancy is survived by her sister Barbara Foley Reed in Marysville, MI, her half-sister Anne Foley Heisler in Tulsa, OK and was predeceased by her half-sister Jean Foley Hadley formerly of MA.
Interment will be at the Foley Family plot located in Rest Haven Cemetery, Jeff, KY. Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3825 Penn Avenue, Sinking Spring, PA is in charge of arrangements and online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
