Myrtle Brown

Myrtle L. Brown, 86, of Amity Township, passed away Friday, May 21, 2021 at 11:10 am at Berkshire Center.  She was the wife of the late James F. Brown who passed away December 13, 2011.  Born in Leesport, Mrs. Brown was the daughter of the late John Westley Beissel and Alma E. (Kline) Beissel.  She was a 1975 graduate of Reading/Muhlenberg Vo Tech with a degree in Practical Nursing.  Mrs. Brown served in the United States Navy and employed by Berks Heim as an LPN for 25 years until her retirement.  She also was employed as an LPN by Wyomissing Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.  Mrs. Brown is survived by her daughter Debra L. Reppert of Amity Township and her son James F. Brown of Morgantown, her grandchildren Timothy Reppert, Matthew Reppert, Traci Maddox and her great grandchildren Stacey Keller, Aidan Maddox, Elizabeth Reppert, Lola Reppert and a great grandchild Sammy.  She is also survived by her siblings Ruth Calhoun of Mohnton, Dorothy Reazor of Gibraltar, James Beissel of Mohnton and was preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters.

Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township, Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 11:00 am.  Reverend Paul L. Jones will officiate.  Interment with Military Honors rendered by the United States Navy Honor Guard will follow at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.  The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home Wednesday 10:00 am to 11:00 am.  Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
