Morton E. Heim, 92, of Spring Township, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016 in his residence. He was the beloved husband, of the late LaRue L. Heim. Born in Wernersville, he was the son of the late John J. and Gussie M. (Haag) Heim. Mr. Heim was a graduate of Wernersville High School in 1942 and of The Reading Business Institute. He served proudly in the United States Navy during World War II. For 32 years he was the owner of Furlow's Food Market, retiring in 1975. He is survived by his daughters, Merry Heim, of Philadelphia, Michelle Richards, wife of Westley C. Richards of Sinking Spring, Ellen F. Heim of Leesport, and grandson, Rory R. Heim-Rilat. In addition to his wife he was predeceased by his brothers Harold J. Heim and Earl Heim.
Memorial Service will be held in Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Friday, January 6, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Pastor Bruce Dalius will officiate. The family will receive relatives and friends Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.
