Miriam Hopp

Miriam M. Hopp, 96, formerly of West Lawn, passed away December 20, 2015 in Moravian Village, Bethlehem.
She was the widow of Norman C. Hopp, who passed away September 8, 2002.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late John P. and Jennie E. (Umbenhouer) Wentzel.
Miriam was a 1937 graduate of Wilson High School and was employed at Bellco Credit Union as a bookkeeper for 12 years, retiring in 1982. She served on the Reading Hospital Auxiliary Board.
Survivors include son Norman E. Hopp, husband of Tracy, Kiln, MI; daughter Marjorie A. (Hopp) Phillips, wife of Richard A., Catasauqua, PA; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister and five brothers.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mrs. Hopp's memory to St. John's (Hain's) UCC, 591 N. Church Road, Wernersville, PA 19565.
A Memorial Service will be held in Christ United Christ of Christ, 5050 Airport Road, Schoenersville, PA 18109, Sunday, April 17, 2016 at 2:00pm., Rev. Catherine Strouse officiating. An additional Memorial Service will be held in Bean Funeral Homes, 3825 Penn Avenue, Sinking Spring, PA 19608, Monday, April 18, 2015 at 1:00pm. Inurnment will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends 12:30-1:00pm.
