Mildred Monasmith

Mildred C. Monasmith, 99, formerly of Spring Township, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 1:15 pm in Mifflin Center where she was guest since September of 2016. She was the wife of the late Florin H. Monasmith who passed away January 5, 1975. Born in Mount Penn, Mrs. Monasmith was the daughter of the late London and Katie O. (Holtzman) Sassaman. She was a cafeteria worker in the Reading School District for 25 years retiring in 1979. Mrs. Monasmith is survived by her son Barry L. Monasmith, husband of Susan Monasmith of Cowley, Alberta, Canada, her grandsons, Sean D. Monasmith, husband of Mary B. Monasmith of Oley and Matthew T. Monasmith, husband of Gina M. Monasmith of Mohnton. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Riley; Cady; Bridgette; Shawn; Brandon; Jillian; Brett; and her great great grandchildren Dominic; Hayden; Grace; Hazel and Josephine.
