Michael J. Zdunowski, 61, of Reading, passed away on Tuesday, August 11th at 3:35 p.m. at St. Joseph's Medical Center, Bern Twp., were he had been a patient for 2 days.
Born in Reading, he was the son of Mary A. (Ward) Zdunowski of Reading and the late Joseph E. Zdunowski.
He was the husband of Stella M. (Zaffary) Zdunowski. The couple shared 36 wonderful years of marriage.
He was a 1965 graduate of Central Catholic High School, and 1969 graduate of Albright College, earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Economics.
He was the owner and operator of the Beer Mart on Route 10, the Grab A Cab company in Reading, and Town Tire Co. He was a member of Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, Reading, and involved in many of their activities.
He was a lifelong expert golfer, member of the Berkshire Country Club, the Divot Diggers Golf Club, and a die hard Philadelphia Eagles fan.
With his wife Stella, he owned property in Tampa, FL, and looked forward to their post Christmas winter trips each year.
In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by his daughters: Amy M. Zdunowski-Roeder, wife of Joseph G. Roeder of Brooklyn, NY, Kristen A. (Zdunowski) Artines, wife of Brandon J. Artines of Chicago, IL, and Nicole M. Zdunowski of Syracuse, NY.
He is also survived by a sister: Patricia M. Zdunowski, New York, N.Y., and a brother: Peter C. Zdunowski of Reading.
Although he wore many hats, his favorite pastime was being with his loving family.
