Michael Mcmullen

Michael C. McMullen, 33, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, December 9, 2018, in The Gardens at Stevens, Stevens, Pennsylvania.
Born in Reading, Michael was the son of Sheila Helms of Reading and the late Leon McMullen. He was of the Catholic faith. Michael was also an avid skateboarder and enjoyed attending skateboard events with his friends. A proud, loving father, he was eager to share with his son, Mikey, the sport of skateboarding.
In addition to his mother, Michael is survived by his son, Michael C. McMullen, Jr. of Lenhartsville; sisters, Bethany Freymoyer of South Carolina and Ciara, wife of Shane Smith of South Carolina, and brother, Christos Kambakis, Jr. of Boyertown; also, brother, Jordan McMullen of Lititz and sister Jacqueline, wife of Dillon Lucas of New Jersey. Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Brian Freymoyer. Also surviving is his step-mother Wendy McMullen of Lititz; maternal grandmother, Donna, wife of Stan Plesnarski of Kenhorst; materal grandfather George, husband of Kathleen Helms of West Lawn; paternal grandmother Mabel, wife of Earl Hertzog of Stevens; and his aunts, Shari Whalen of Shillington and Kelly Brower of Denver, Pennsylvania.
Funeral procession will depart Bean Funeral Home, 129 East Lancaster Ave., Shillington, Friday, December 14, 2018 at 10:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Chapel of Saint George at Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum, 3139 Kutztown Road, Laureldale at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend Philip F. Rodgers, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery.
