Michael D. McGinty, 70, of Wernersville passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Thursday, September 9, 2021. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Caritas M. (Pieffer) McGinty. Michael proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked as a Boiler Technician for the U.S. Navy and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Michael was a die-hard Philadelphia sports fan and enjoyed celebrating their winnings at the parades with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed camping and skiing with his kids and grandchildren. Michael grew up around horses and was very passionate about them and other animals like his beloved dog, Charlie Brown. There was nothing Michael loved more than his grandchildren and he cherished every minute he had with them.
Michael is survived by his children; Michael B. McGinty of Darby husband of Mimi Armour of Philadelphia, Joseph McGinty, of Wernersville, and Christina M. Lord, wife of Antwan Lopez of Darby. Also surviving is his beloved wife, Deborah Lord, his grandchildren; Thomas Lord, Joseph Deprince, Michael McFadden, Jr., Masen McFadden, Anthony Deprince, and Bayleigh Lopez, his brother, James McGinty, of Coatesville and his twin brother, Fred McGinty, of New Jersey.
