Michael Hamonko

Michael David Hamonko, 77, passed away Thursday December 24, 2020  in Phoebe Berks Healthcare Center.  He was the husband of the late Carol J. (Porter) Hamonko who passed away February 10, 2016.  Born in Johnstown, PA, Mr. Hamonko was the son of the late Michael and Rosetta (Sunchych) Hamonko.  He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and before his retirement, was employed by BAE Systems as an Electrical Engineer.  He had a great sense of humor, enjoyed travelling with his wife, growing his own tomatoes, music, singing and creating neighborhood fireworks displays. He was an avid electronics hobbyist, and a master at fixing anything. Mr. Hamonko is survived by his children Michael R. Hamonko, husband of Tani Hamonko of Annville; daughter, Suellen (Hamonko) Panase, wife of Jim Panase of Exeter Township and his grandchildren Elizabeth, Sarah (Scotty) Dickmyer, Michael, Tony, Nicholas and his sister Patricia Cover, wife of Robert Cover of Johnstown.
