Michael Cushen, Sr

Michael J. Cushen, Sr., 80, of Spring Twp. and formerly of Tarrytown, NY, passed away June 16, 2010 at 9:00 AM in his residence. He was the husband of Philomena A. (Considine) Cushen. Born in Kilrush, Ireland on November 24, 1929 he was the son of the late George Cushen and the late Bridget (Houlihan) Quinlivan Cushen.

Michael was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church and the Ancient Order of Hibernians. He was employed as a plumber by the Sleepy Hollow High School in Sleepy Hollow, NY for 37 years retiring in 1994.

Surviving in addition to his wife are 2 daughters Bridget C. (Cushen) wife of Kevin Connelly of Tarrytown, NY and Mary Ellen (Cushen) wife of John Nussbeutel of Sinking Spring; a son Michael J. Cushen, Jr.; 3 grandchildren Ellen Connelly, James Connelly and Liam Cushen; a brother George Cushen and a sister Mary Quinlivan both of Birmingham, England.
