Mavis Scholtes

Mavis N. Scholtes, 88, formerly of Sinking Spring, passed away September 23, 2009 at 3:05 pm in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was the wife of Joseph J. Scholtes, Sr. Born in Valier, PA, she was the daughter of the late Winfield and Minnie(Dilts) Neal. Mrs. Scholtes was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Sinking Spring. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Rev. Dr. Joseph J., Jr. husband of Bonnie Scholtes of Orwigsburg and her daughter, Nancy, wife of David Troutman of Sinking Spring along with four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Normalee Lebo.
