Maurice Stahl

Maurice H. Stahl, 85, of Exeter Twp., passed away unexpectedly October 28, 2008 at 10:45 PM in Reading Hospital & Medical Center. He was the husband of Shirley A. (Ludy) Stahl. Born in Schwenksville, he was the son of the late Harrison R. and Florence (Kirkendall) Stahl.
He was a 1941 graduate of Schwenksville High School and was an Army veteran of WW2.
He was employed as manager and later owner of Tapper's Floor Covering in Gilbertsville for 40 years and later was the equipment manager at Albright College for 27 years retiring in 2005.
Surviving in addition to his wife are 3 step sons Linwood R. Ludy of Pottstown, Robert L. Ludy of Boyertown and Kenneth T. Lightcap Jr. of Loxahatchee, FL, 7 step grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren and a brother Earl W. Stahl of Schwenksville. He was predeceased by four siblings Howard, Gerald, Florence and Martha.
Mr. Stahl was an avid doll collector, loved working in his yard and attending craft shows with his wife.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. Bean Funeral Home & Crematory, 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township, is in charge of arrangements.
