Mary Rutkowski

Mary A. Rutkowski, 100, formerly of Stoney Creek Mills, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at ManorCare Sinking Spring. She was the loving wife of the late Anthony Rutkowski. Born in Birdsboro, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Mary (Czernijewski) Stallman. Mrs. Rutkowski grew up on a farm. During her life she was employed at Continental Can where she worked for 33 years and retired. Bingo was one of her favorite hobbies giving her the nickname of "Grandmom Bingo". Mary, loved to travel with the late grandmom Floss and had a strong faith in God. She is survived by her daughter Sylvia J. Salsano, widowed of Leonard, companion of John of Muhlenberg; grandchildren, Bryan Salsano, husband of Vicki, of Allentown; Linda Hoster, wife of Barry of Sinking Spring; Craig Salsano, husband of Debra, of Blandon; Dean Salsano, husband of Crystal, of West Reading;Jennifer Heinley, wife of Jeff, of Muhlenberg; Cindy Rutkowski, companion of Todd, of Temple; Lorraine Rutkowski of Kenhorst; 11 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Rutkowski was predeceased by her son Robert F. Rutkowski; grandson, Kevin Rutkowski, and brother, Edwin Stallman. Mary was a sweet lady who never had a bad word to say about anyone, she will be sincerely missed.
Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, North 16th & Rockland Streets, Hampden Heights, Friday, May 5, 2017 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
