Mary Ganster

Mary A. Ganster, 94, of Wyomissing, passed away Friday, October 16, 2009 at Berks Heim Nursing Home, where she had been a patient since March 13th. She had previously resided with her daughters.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Herbert J. Shannon and Martha R. (Ganter) Shannon.

She was the widow of Aloysius J. "Al" Ganster, who passed away on January 12, 1999.

She was a member of Sacred Heart R.C.C. in West Reading.

She is survived by her son: C. Joseph Ganster of Tampa, FL, and daughters: Marcia G. (Ganster), wife of David H. Charlton of Wyomissing Hills, and Joan K. (Ganster), wife of G. Gary Gusavage of Lancaster.

There are also seven grandchildren: Donald, Kimberly, Greg, Sheri, Tara, Nadene, and Amy; and thirteen great grandchildren.

She is also survived by a brother: Joseph H. Shannon of West Wyomissing; and a sister: Margaret (Shannon), widow of Paul H. Borkey of Shillington.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is pre deceased by a brother: Bernard H. Shannon, and a sister: Rita (Shannon) Delmonico.
