Mary Fett

Mary Louise (Schappell) Fett, 90, of Reading, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Phoebe Berks. She was the loving wife of Paul Henry Fett. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Wilford M. and Clara L. (Delp) Schappell. Mrs. Fett was a graduate of Reading High School in 1943. She attended Albright College, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, graduating in 1947. Mary Louise was a lifelong member of the First Evangelical Congregational Church of Reading. During her life she was employed as a Medical Lab Technician at St. Joseph Hospital and two private medical practices until 1962. "Squeaky" was her nickname since Junior High and was used often by her friends at Phoebe. In addition to her husband she is survived by her son Robert H. Fett, husband of Sharon Murray, of Bolton, Vermont; daughter, Sara L. Esterly, wife of Darin J. Esterly, of Conestoga, PA; and her grandson, Ethan D. Esterly.
Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, North 16th & Rockland Streets, Hampden Heights, Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Charles Evans Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Evangelical Congregational Church,
