Mary K. Bauer

Mary K. Bauer, 96, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Gerald A. Bauer, who passed away in 1987. Together they shared 27 years of marriage. Born in Reading, on December 28, 1926, she was the daughter of the late William and Florence (Baisch) Daniels.

Mary was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Reading, where she served on the church council and various other committees over the years. She enjoyed knitting, swimming, and reading books. Mary was an animal lover; she absolutely had a love for birds and cats.

Mary is survived by her children, Cindy L. Beard, of Temple; Jodi S. Bauer of Muhlenberg; Jeffrey M. Bauer “Jeff”, of Bernville; granddaughter, Jessi T. Bauer, wife of Nathaniel Cristurean, of Mohnton; great-granddaughter, Katalina G. Bauer-Cristurean; and niece, Carol Delong, wife of Alan Delong.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Miriam Kenderdine and brother Robert Daniels.
