Mary Abitabile

Mary J. Abitabile, 86, of Reading, passed away June 10, 2009 at 1:10 AM in Wyomissing Nursing & Rehab Center where she resided for 2 years. She was the wife of Michael Abitabile who passed away February 5, 1990. Born in Brooklyn, NY on October 23, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Margaret (Marrone) Gusto.

Mary worked in the maintenance department at Albright College retiring in 1992. She loved to sew and cook and enjoyed time with family and friends. Mrs. Abitabile was a member of St. Margaret's RCC.

Surviving are 2 daughters Michele (Abitabile) wife of Stephen J. Strus of Exeter Twp. and Maureen (Abitabile) Speaks of Millmont, 3 grandchildren John Hymans, Lisa Speaks and Shawn Good , a great granddaughter Amethyst Hymans and a niece Mrs. Sonja Pennock of Muhlenberg Twp. She was predeceased by a sister Dorothy (Gusto) Hatt on July 16, 2002.
