Marlene Weiss

Marlene S. Weiss, 81, of Madison at Exeter, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2016. Born July 17, 1934 in Pittsburgh, PA she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Rose Soltz. She was married for 57 years to George I. Weiss, Exeter Township. Mother of Gary I., husband of Adele, Sewell, NJ; Jeffery R., husband of Randi, Chattanooga, TN; Martin S., husband of Jinju, Frisco, TX. Grandmother of 8 loves of her life. Also surviving are sisters Renee Lichter and Nadene Sales and sister-in-law Marietta Soltz together with many nephews and nieces. Marlene was a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and taught in Pennsylvania and New York.
Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 129 East Lancaster Ave. Shillington, Monday, May 16, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Shomrei Habrith Cemetery, Cumru Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish Federation of Reading 1100 Berkshire Blvd. Suite 125, Wyomissing, PA 19610 and the American Cancer Society 498 Bellevue Ave. Reading, PA 19605 in memory of Mrs. Marlene S.
