Mark A. Hawley, 59, of Sinking Spring, passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, September 17th at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was the devoted husband of Christine (Maun) Hawley whom he married on August 14, 1982. Mark was born November 3, 1955 in Ambler, PA. The son of Ethel T. (Johnson) and the late John E. Hawley. Mark graduated from Penn State University in 1978. His passion for plants lead to a career at Sun Gro Horticulture for the last 22 years.
He loved and cherished his family, had a sense of humor that would make anyone smile, spent hours slapping the bass guitar and playing with the ReMarkables. He always enjoyed reading a good book, Mark had his private pilots license, was an amazing cook, and as much as he would say otherwise, was great buddies with his pets Skeeter and Pumpkin.
In addition to his wife, Mark is survived by his seven children: Gregory M, 31, Catherine D, 29, Kevin J, 27, Matthew J, 23, Theresa C, 22, Elizabeth R, 18, and Mariann J, 15. Grandchildren: Paisley R. Martin, 3, and Liam C. Hawley, 1. Siblings: Sister Debbie and brother Jack. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Francis de Sales RCC, 321 N. Church Street, Robesonia, on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 12:00. The family will receive friends and relatives at church from 11-12:00. Please wear blue or your favorite color.
