Mark Bankemper

Mark Luke Bankemper, 60, of Shillington, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 3:46 am in Reading Hospital. He was the husband of T. Carol (Knott) Bankemper and was preceded in death by his second wife Susan Sentz, January 21, 2009. Born in Covington, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Donald and Miriam (Miners) Bankemper. Mark was a graduate of Holy Cross High School in Latonia, Kentucky and received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Addictions Studies from Alvernia University. He was a tax specialist and instructor for H&R Block in Ephrata and was president of 222 Flying Club and was a ASA Umpire in Berks County. In addition to his wife Carol, Mark is survived by his children Beth E. Geddio, wife of Donald L. Geddio, Jr. of Wayne, PA; Mariah L. Bankemper, a Junior at Temple University and Wyatt A. Bankemper at home. He is also survived by his siblings Paul Bankemper, husband of Maryann Bankemper of Southgate, Kentucky; Reverend Stef Bankemper of Fort Thomas, Kentucky; Martha Wolking of Fort Thomas, Kentucky and Patrick "Buzz" Bankemper, husband of Mary "TeTe" Bankemper of Stephens City, Virginia and was preceded in death by his brother Michael Bankemper.
A Celebration of Mark's Life will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 129 East Lancaster Ave., Shillington, Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 4:00 pm with his family serving as Celebrants. They will receive relatives and friends Saturday 2-4:00 pm. Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
