Marilyn Herzog

Marilyn R. Herzog, formerly of South Heidelberg Township, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 6:00 am at ProMedica in Laureldale.  She was the wife of the late Kenneth R. Herzog who passed away June 4, 2008.  Born in Reading, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Thomas C. and Ruth (McKinney) Furman.  She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Shillington and served on the pastoral care team and was employed by the Antietam School District as a secretary for 28 years retiring in 1993.  Marilyn is survived by her daughters:  Reverend Denise E. Keltz of Shillington; Karen M. Bertolet, wife of John R. Bertolet Jr. of Exeter Township; Lynne A. Hinnershitz, wife of Harold G. Hinnershitz of Temple; her 7 grandchildren:  Greta Keltz, Branic Keltz, Kara Freese, John Bertolet III, Joseph Bertolet, Thomas Hinnershitz and Katie Hinnershitz; and her 16 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Thomas C. Furman Jr. of Puhrump, Nevada.

Memorial Service will be held at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church 30 Liberty Street, Shillington, PA 19607, Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 11:00 am.  Reverend Colleen Cox will officiate.  Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Pleasant View Cemetery.  The family will receive relatives and friends at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.  Contributions may be made to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church at the above address in memory of Mrs. Marilyn R.
