Marie S. Kisling

               Marie S. (Sterling) Kisling, 91, of Krumsville, formerly of Stony Creek, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, July 19, 2023.  Born in Glendower, she was the daughter of the late Ruth (Hausman) and Henry H. Sterling.  Marie was the loving wife of Thomas E. Kisling, Sr. and together they shared 30 years of marriage before his passing on May 14, 1982.  She graduated from Cass Township High School and continued her education at Nursing School.  Marie was the Co-Owner of 3 K’s Farm Market.  After “retiring” from 3 K’s, she continued to work at the Shillington Farmer’s Market, where she was known as “Boss Lady” until she was 88 years old.

               Marie enjoyed traveling the world, visiting casinos, and going to Broadway shows.  She loved her ice cream so much that sometimes she had two cones at once.  Marie was a simple and humble woman who loved her faith, she was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church in Exeter.  Most of all she loved her family and cherished every moment she had with them, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

               Marie is survived by her children; Jayne M. Sproesser, wife of Bob of Krumsville, Thomas E. Kisling, Jr., partner of Sharon of Sinking Spring, and JoAnn Cohn, wife of Paul of Wyomissing.  Also surviving are her grandchildren; Jared Dugan, husband of Becky, Abigail (Cohn) Wargo, wife of Matt, and Tessa (Cohn) Marz, wife of Julian, her step grandchild, Sherry Auman, wife of Scott, her great grandchildren, Graham and Reese Dugan, her step great grandchildren, Natalie Ruppert, wife of Zak, and Katie Auman, and her sister, Marilyn Widor, of Rochester, NY.  In addition to her husband, Thomas E. Kisling, Sr., Marie is preceded in death by her siblings, George, Margaret, Henry, Clarence, May, Miriam, Raymond, and Ronald.
