Marie A. Everline

Marie A. Everline, 97, formerly of Reading, passed away Friday, December 27, 2024, at 10:00 am at Simpson Meadows Retirement Community, Downingtown. She was the wife of the late Robert P. Everline who passed away January 20, 2009. Born in Tuscarora, Schuylkill County, Mrs. Everline was the daughter of the late Paul P. and Mary J. (Popnick) Elensky. She was a member of Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church and was a 1945 graduate of Tamaqua High School and a 1948 graduate of Saint Joseph Hospital School of Nursing. Mrs. Everline was employed as a registered nurse for Spruce Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for 18 years retiring in May 2000. She is survived by her daughters Mary E. Kidd wife of Walter M. Kidd of Sinking Spring; Catherine A. Barbalace wife of Frank A. Barbalace of Glenmoore; Theresa M. Everline wife of Kirk E. Fromm of Philadelphia; and her grandchildren Lauren, Samuel, Thomas, Matthew, Taylor (Kent), and Devon. She was preceded in death by her siblings Paul Elensky, Margaret Elensky, and Anna Velosky. She’ll be remembered as a loving Nana who cherished her family and never missed breakfast get-togethers with friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church 1018 North 8th Street, Reading, PA 19601, Monday, January 6, 2025, at 11:00 am. Reverend Monsignor John J. Grabish, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church Monday from 10:00 am to 10:45 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church at the above address or Simpson Meadows Retirement Community, 101 Plaza Drive, Downingtown, PA 19335 in memory of Mrs. Marie A.
