Marian Yanaitis

Marian Ann Yanaitis (Rightus) of Summerfield FL formerly of Port Carbon, PA joined the heavenly choir of angels and went to be with the Lord on May 18, 2018. She was born on March 18, 1944. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Rightus and Alberta Dunsavage and her brother Jack Rightus. She is survived by her husband, Norbert Zielinski.
Marian was a graduate of Mahanoy City High School. She worked as the parish Secretary at two Catholic churches. First at the former St. Joseph's Parish now the Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Mahanoy City, PA and then at the former St. Casmir's Parish in St. Clair, PA. She also worked as Executive Secretary at the Children's Home of Pottsville before it closed. Her current position was that of Executive Secretary for the Benevolent Association of Pottsville even though she resided in FL for the past 12 years.
Marian was a compassionate and cheerful soul and spent many hours in service at each church in which she was a member. In her work for the churches she taught CCD and RCIA, was a Eucharistic Minister, a lector, cantor and choir member and was an officer of St. Casimir's Rosary Confraternity. She also embraced her Lithuanian Heritage and was a member of the Lithuanian Woman's Club. She was a parishioner at St. Mark the Evangelists Church in Summerfield, FL where she was a lector and altar server. She was an avid gardener and loved animals having cared for horses, dogs, cats and any animal from the wild that happened to come across her path. Her favorite activity, however, was spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband Norbert, Marian is survived by her two daughters; Colette McBreen and husband James and Patricia Brenner and husband Todd. In addition, she is survived by seven grandchildren; Jack Kindred and his fiancAC. Maria, Robert Kindred and his wife Ceny, Jessica Robertson and her husband Tyler, Edwin Kindred, Marian Kindred and Bethany and Luke Brenner. Marian is also survived by her former husband and lifelong friend, Robert Yanaitis of Florida.
Marion will be remembered most for her generous and caring nature. She truly tried her best to live the gospel of Jesus Christ. Her joyfulness in serving others through her life can best be summed up in a quote by Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta; "Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without feeling happier."
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial and Celebration of Life will be celebrated in the Church of Saint Benedict 2020 Chestnut Hill Road, Mohnton, Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 10:00 am. Reverend Philip F. Rodgers, Celebrant. Interment will be held privately. The family will receive relatives and friends Saturday 8:45-9:45 am in Church. An additional Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Saint Mark the Evangelists Church in Summerfield, FL at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations made in her honor be sent to Camp Connect of Berks County c/o Berks County Intermediate Unit-"Camp Connect", PO Box 16050, Reading, PA 19612-6050 or to the charity of one's choice.
