Maria Harley

Maria C. Harley, 91, of Shillington, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 12:30 am in Reading Hospital. She was the wife of the late Joseph L. Harley, Sr. who passed away March 29, 1997. Born in Vocklamarkt, Austria, Mrs. Harley was the daughter of the late Alois Purstinger and Anna Klinger Purstinger. She is survived by her children Susanne H. Dombrowski, wife of Francis M.Dombrowski of Lititz; David M. Harley of Mohnton; Joseph L. Harley, Jr. of Melbourne, Florida and John P. Harley of Laguna Niguel, California, and her grandchildren Katherine Dombrowski; Daniel J. Dombrowski; Evalina Dombrowski; Carissa R. Harley and Darrah P. Harley, and her great grandchildren Josephine A. Dombrowski; Lilianna J. Dombrowski and Avery D. Harley. Mrs. Harley was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda M. Harley, January 31, 1996. She is also survived by her sister Pauline Turner of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Maria will best be remembered for her love of family, frankness of expression, and creativity in writing and poetry. She delighted in the beauty of nature and wonder of God's creatures.
Memorial Service will be held in Bean Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 129 East Lancaster Ave. Shillington, Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Deacon Felix Joseph Lombardo will officiate. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lebanon. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Sunday 1:00-2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Clare House Lancaster, a shelter for homeless women and their children, 342-344 E. Chestnut St., Lancaster PA 17602.
