Margaret Ann "Peggy" Turner, 79, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018 in Berks Heim where she had been a resident since 2015. Born and raised in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Marguerite (Stock) Yost. She is survived by her daughters Deborah Stevens, wife of Timothy Stevens of Severna Park, Maryland, and Ann Levan, wife of Brett Levan of Exeter Township, along with two grandsons, Nathaniel and Jeremy Stevens. Mrs. Turner is also survived by her sister Dorothy Kemp of West Lawn, several nieces, and a nephew.
Mrs. Turner was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church, where she was in the choir, Altar Guild, and women's Sunday School class. She was a leader in the Camp Fire Girls organization and a parent volunteer with the Hyde Park cheerleading group. Peggy worked at several businesses in the area, including Talbott Knitting Mills, Polymer Corporation, and then Penske Truck Leasing where she eventually retired. Bored, she began working part time for JC Penney Corporation.
Memorial Service will be held in Bean Funeral Homes & Cremation Services 129 East Lancaster Ave. Shillington, Monday, January 8, 2018 at 11:00 am. Reverend Richard A. Nelson will officiate. The family will receive relatives and friends Monday 10:00-11:00 am.
