Margaret Allen

Margaret H. "Peggy" Allen (nee Ziegler), 88, of Lower Alsace Township, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2019 at 6:05 a.m. in Reading Hospital. She was the wife of Thomas P. Allen. Born in Reading, Peggy was the daughter of the late John J. and Anna Mae (Dekkard) Ziegler. She was employed by Luden's in Reading as a candy maker for 42 years retiring in 1992. Peggy enjoyed shopping, boating, hiking, camping, Word Search, and a proud member of the Cedar Street Gang. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Kathleen A. Potteiger, wife of Dennis G. of Adamstown; Ronald R. Grant, husband of Susan M. of Reinholds; Deborah L. Bilinski, wife of John G. of Exeter Township, and her grandchildren John R. Bilinski, husband of Brianna; Kaitlyn M. Grant, fiancAC.e of Shaun Blanchette; Christopher T. Bilinski, husband of Ashley; Lynn Goshert, wife of Curtis; Nathan Potteiger, husband of Kimberly; Henry Stumpf, husband of Mary; Robert Stumpf, husband of Heatherly; Jenna Seesholtz; Melissa May, wife of Michael; Ryan Eckardt, husband of Candace, and her great grandchildren Nicholas J. Bilinski and Charli Beth Bilinski. She was preceded in death by her grandson Jason A. Kohl. Also surviving are her brothers Alan and George Ziegler of Reading.
Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township, Friday, August 9, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Amy S. Landis, Certified Celebrant will officiate. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home, Friday 8:30 am to 10:00 am.
