Malcolm Schaeffer

Malcolm B. Schaeffer, 89, of Kenhorst, passed away February 18, 2011 at 5:15 am in the residence of his daughter Donna E. Cozzone of Lancaster. He was the husband of the late Ruth N. (Kachel) Schaeffer who passed away March 3, 2006. Born in Reading he was the son of the late Earl and Elsie (Brown) High. He was a general manager for Reading Metal Craft in Reading for 42 years.Mr. Schaeffer served in the United States Air Force during World War II and was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Shillington. He was a 56 year member of Chandler Lodge #227 F&AM and served as Worshipful Master in 1963. He was an Honorary member of the Supreme Council Valley of Reading and received his 33rd degree in 1978. He was a member of the Reading Consistory, Rajah Shrine and President of the Arab Patrol in 1966 and 1967. He is survived by his daughters Donna E. Cozzone with whom he last resided and Cynthia L. DeLoretta wife of John Domsicz of Shillington along with grandchildren Michael and Danny DeLoretta, Meredith Coyle, Christopher and Nicholas Cozzone, great grandchildren Sara and Grant DeLoretta, Paige and Lillyanne DeLoretta and McKenzie Coyle.
