Mae K. (Hill) McNear

              Mae K. (Hill) McNear, 83, of Womelsdorf, passed away surrounded by her loving family in her home on Monday, October 16, 2023.  Born in Fleetwood, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth “Betty” (Bortz) and Howard Hill.  She worked as a Lay Operator at Western Electric for 32 years before they closed their doors.  Mae loved to bowl, she was in many leagues throughout her life, and spent a lot of time at the bowling alley.  She enjoyed crocheting and made blankets for everyone, even for Nursing Homes.  She liked to travel to Outer Banks, South Carolina. 

               Mae is survived by her son, Lance McNear, husband of Karen of Womelsdorf, her grandchildren, Stephanie McNear and Nathan Shrom, her step grandchildren, Jacqueline Cook wife of Dajn and Dylan Carmichael, and her brothers, Charles Hill of Exeter, and James Hill, husband of Brenda of Muhlenberg Township.  Mae is preceded in death by her son, Troy McNear, granddaughter, Trisha Mae McNear, and brother, Albert Hill.

               A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Mull Funeral Home, 27 E. High St., Womelsdorf from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.  Bean Funeral Homes, Sinking Spring is in charge of arrangements and online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com.
