Madeline L. Moll, 101, formerly of Exeter Twp., Reading, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday evening, November 28th at 10:52 p.m. at Parklane Nursing Center,just outside of West Chester, PA where she had been a patient for four months.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late William Hemmig and Ellen (Miller) Hemmig, and widow of Ralph C. Moll, who passed away in November of 1983.
Mrs. Moll spent most of her life in Reading. She worked as a knitter for Rosedale Knitting Mills for fifteen years, and then, with Mr. Moll, owned and operated Lorane Orchards in Exeter Twp.
She spent years as a caregiver to the less fortunate.
She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Mt. Penn, and taught Sunday School at Lorane chapel in Exeter Twp. for many years.
She is survived by her son: Rand D. Moll, husband of Ginny Moll of West Chester; Grandchildren: Ryan Moll of Ardmore, PA, and Nancy (Moll) Hillman of Yorktown, A. She became a graet grandmother on November 13th when Nancy had her first child, Rebekah Madeline Hillman.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is pre deceased by a son: Barrie N. Moll, who passed away on February 17, 2008; and a sister: Jessie (Hemmig) Wise.
Mrs. Moll requests no flowers be sent, and instead Memorial Contributions made to the Salvation Army, 301 South 5th St. Reading, PA 19602 in her memory.
