Mabel Rentschler

Mabel E. Rentschler, 86, of Wernersville, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 3:30 pm in Phoebe Berks Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Ralph M. Rentschler who passed away February 11, 2010. Born in Muhlenberg Township, Mrs. Rentschler was the daughter of the late Milton and Lottie (Batdorf) Althouse. She was a member of First Reformed Churn in Wernersville and was employed as a sewing machine operator at Talbot Knitting Mill in Womelsdorf for 28 years. Mrs. Rentschler is survived by her daughter Carol A. Dorn, wife of Ronald L. Dorn of South Heidelberg Township along with her grandson Mitchell S. Dorn, companion of Jennifer Busch of Lower Heidelberg Township. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Teresa L. Dorn who passed away in 1987. Also surviving is her sister Carol Smith, wife of Greg Smith of York.
Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 11:00 am. Reverend Paul S. Harvey will officiate. Interment will follow in Strausstown Union Cemetery, Upper Tulpehocken Township. The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday 10-11:00 am.
