Mabel E. Eschleman, 97, of Reading, passed away September 18th, at Manor At The Market Square, Reading. Mabel was born in Hamburg, on February 18, 1924, a daughter of the late Mary A. (Seaman) and William K. Rothermel. Siblings included two sisters: Helen, wife of Francis Artley, Anna wife of John Garland and a brother: Howard L., husband of C. Louise (Britton) She was the wife of Carl L. Eschleman of Manor At The Market Square, Reading and formerly of Northmont. Mabel was a graduate of Reading High School, class of 1941. Over the years, Mabel worked for both Carpenter Steel and later at Trim-Master Corporation, Temple. Mabel is survived by her oldest son, Ronald G. of Ramona, CA and the memory of her son Jeffrey A. (deceased). She is also survived by 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
A written memorial is planned in lieu of services. Bean Funeral Home, N. 16th and Rockland Streets, Reading, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106. Internment will be private.
