M. Ruppert

M. Janet Ruppert, 89, of Spring Township, passed away January 15, 2009 8:00 pm in the Reading Hospital a patient since January 14, 2009. She was taken to the hosptial from ManorCare-Spring Township where she was a resident since December 6, 2008. She was the Loving wife of Earl W. Ruppert to whom she was married for 53 years. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Mabel (Stover) Powers. Mrs. Ruppert was a 1936 graduate of Reading High School and was employed by Bell Telephone as a service observer and later by RM Palmer Candy as a secretary for 10 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Reading. Mrs. Ruppert is survived by nephews Frank Lobb; David Lobb; Sam Brown; David Ruppert; nieces Patti Rose; Kathy Ruppert; Debbie Balha; Beth Ruppert; brother in laws Elwood, John, Ernest, Charles, and Norman Ruppert; sister in laws Ellen and Edith Ruppert and was preceded in death by her sisters Mildred Lobb and Gladys Sandman and brother Martin Powers.
