Luther Wicklein

Luther E. Wicklein, 93, Robeson Township, died Feb. 28, 2011, at 3:10 a.m. in Berks County Home-Berks Heim, Bern Township. He was the husband of Eleanor R. (Bellman) Wicklein. Born in Birdsboro, he was a son of the late H. Luther and Florence (Elliot) Wicklein. He was a graduate of Reading High School in 1935. He was a heavy equipment operator for the city of Reading for 39 years, retiring in 1980. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Also surviving are sons Douglas W., husband of Lynn A. Wicklein, Sinking Spring; and David E. Wicklein, at home. There are also grandchildren Ashley Lynn Smith and Kaitlyn Bradlee Wicklein; and a great-granddaughter, Amaya Paige Wicklein.
