Lucy Suzanne Knoblauch Zeidman, 96, of Wyomissing, passed away January 26, 2010 at 4:00 pm in her residence following a short illness. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Bessie Knoblauch. Lucy graduated with honors from Reading High school in 1932. She then attended the Philadelphia School of Design and graduated from Philadelphia College of Art in 1936. She was president of St. Joseph Hospital Women's Auxiliary and was president of Berks County Medical Society of Doctors Wives Auxiliary in 1952. She was president of Reading Chapter of Hadassah from 1950-1952 and 1964-1965. She was active in the 1961 campaign of United Way of Berks County. She was a liason to Hadassah National Board in New York City from 1961-1962. She served on the Citizens Advisory Committee for Mayors Shirk and Yarnell. Lucy was president of Berks County Association for Blind Womens Auxiliary from 1974-1976 and president of Temple Oheb Shalom Sisterhood in 1980. She was a lifelong volunteer for the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association and American Red Cross and United Way Fund, Eastern PA Hadassah Region Secretary in 1973, Thresold of Berks County Board Chairman in 1970 and a member of Congreagation Shomrei Habrith.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hadassah, 66 Park Road, Wyomissing Hills, PA 19609 in memory of Mrs. Lucy Suzanne Knoblauch Zeidman.
