Lucinda “Cindy” L. Curran, 80, of Shillington, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 17, 2025, at the Reading Hospital. She was the beloved companion of 40 years to Ronald A. Wagner. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Ralph D. and Betty L. (Roth) Gring. Cindy was a graduate of Wilson High School, Class of 1962. Throughout her career, she held positions in banking, the family business Grings Quarry, and finally CNA Insurance, from which she retired. Cindy had a fondness for flowers and birds and was a dedicated supporter of the Arthritis Foundation. She was a member of the Sinking Spring Historical Society. In her earlier years, she and her sister Phyllis regularly attended Wilson Football games.
Cindy is survived by her daughter, Cathleen C. Hertzog, significant other of Daniel Klahr, of Mohnton; longtime companion, Ronald A. Wagner, of Shillington; stepmother, Sharleen Gring, of West Lawn; and ex-husband Richard P. Curran, of Spring Township.
She was predeceased by her sister, Phyllis A. Kurtz and niece Karen Lineaweaver.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes 129 E. Lancaster Ave. Shillington, PA 19607 on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at 12:30pm. Amy S. Landis, Certified Celebrant will officiate. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home from 11:30am-12:30pm. At the request of her daughter, please feel free to wear jeans and comfortable clothes as Cindy always dressed for comfort.
