Louis Ramsey

Louis P. Ramsey, 81, of Shillington, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 at 2:05 am in Reading Hospital. He was the husband of the late Carol Ann (Cole) Ramsey who passed away in December 1998. Born in Hoopeston, Illinois, Mr. Ramsey was the son of the late Lewis Lee Ramsey and Ruth Evelyn (Sheffield) Ramsey. He was a warehouse supervisor for Montgomery Ward in California and was an avid fisherman and bingo player. Mr. Ramsey is survived by his son Lee W. Ramsey, husband of Julie A. Ramsey of Shillington along with his grandchildren Andrew W. and Laura M. Ramsey. He is also survived by his sisters Mary Vandevender of Dana, Indiana; Doris Butts of Granite City, Illinois and Elaine Ramsey of Estancia, New Mexico.
Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 129 East Lancaster Ave. Shillington, Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 11:00 am. Reverend Paul L. Jones will officiate. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home Thursday 10-11:00 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508 or the American Cancer Society 498 Bellevue Ave. Reading, PA 19605 in memory of Mr. Louis P.
