Lois Scheiffley

Lois T. (Gudz) Scheiffley, 63, of Exeter Twp., passed away on Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where she had been a patient since Thursday.

Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Stanley J. Gudz and Lottie (Stankiewicz) Gudz, and the widow of Harry L. Scheiffley who passed away on December 10, 1991.

She was a 1964 graduate of Central Catholic High School, and last worked as an Owner and Consultant for Good Property Management in Reading for the last two years. She previously worked as a Case Worker for the Department of Public Welfare for 17 years, and as an Enforcement Officer for Domestic Relations for the County of Berks for 11 years.

She loved to travel, including trips all over Europe and the Caribbean, and Cruising. She enjoyed playing cards, and spending time with her friends and family. She loved experimenting in the kitchen.

She is survived by her daughters: Jennifer (Scheiffley) Dinatally of Exeter Twp., and Susan, wife of Mark Scheiffley of Woodbridge, VA; and a grandson: Lucas Dinatally.

She is also survived by her baby sister: Theresa Gudz of Mt. Penn, and her extended family: Cathy Busti and Lori Good.
