It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda A. Schaadt, 76, of Wyomissing, on Friday, March 15, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Bradford “Brad” L. Schaadt. Together they shared 52 wonderful years of marriage.
Born on August 20, 1947, in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Frank Handwork and Esther (Fromm) Handwork. Linda was a graduate of Muhlenberg High School, Class of 1965. She went on to attend the Reading Business Institute, where she received a Certificate in Typing & Administration in 1967. Linda worked as a Medical Assistant in the Doctor's Office Building of the Reading Hospital, retiring in 2009.
Linda was a member of Advent Lutheran Church. She enjoyed volunteering for One-by-One, Inc. at the Pet Smart in Wyomissing. Linda’s favorite places to be were at the beach and Green Valley pool with her friends. She also enjoyed going to football games at Kutztown University, track events at Wilson, and cheering on her granddaughter at Wilson field hockey games.
She is survived by her husband Brad L. Schaadt, of Wyomissing; daughter, Julie L. Wilchek, wife of Dan J. Wilchek, of Spring Township; daughter, Amie E. Knauer, wife of Jonathan A. Knauer, of Mertztown; and her “sweetie,” granddaughter, Sophie B. Wilchek.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, PA 19608 on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 12:00pm. Amy Landis, Certified Celebrant will officiate. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home from 10:00am-12:00pm. Online condolences may be made to www.beanfuneralhomes.com.
