Lester Schweitzer, Sr

Lester Schweitzer, Sr., 89, of Robesonia, passed away July 3, 2011 at 10:22 pm in Berks County Home-Berks Heim. He was the husband of the late Mary E. (Reifsnyder) Schweitzer who passed away June 29, 2006. Born in Plowville he was the son of the late Job and Sallie (Thomas) Schweitzer. Mr. Schweitzer was the owner of Schweitzer's Service Center in West Reading for 41 years, retiring in 2004. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He is survived by his sons, Lester Schweitzer, Jr. of Shillington, Kenneth husband of Deborah Schweitzer of Trappe, Gerald Schweitzer of Exeter Township, Donald L. husband of Marla R. Schweitzer of Oley, Richard A. Schweitzer of Birdsboro along with 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandson Donald Schweitzer, Jr. Also surviving are his siblings Eugene Schweitzer of Exeter Township, Margaret Bauder of Ephrata, Elsie Geiger of Geigertown and Rhea of Reading.
