Lester Himmelberger

Lester S. Himmelberger, 92, passed away on September 6, 2017 at Phoebe Berk's. He was the beloved husband of Jean M. (Stoyer) Himmelberger. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Lester S. Himmelberger Sr. and Stella M. (Printz) Himmelberger. During his life he was employed by Continental Can Company in Reading, New Jersey, New York City and Connecticut for 39 years, retiring as the senior pricing analyst. He graduated in 1943 from Shillington High School and later attended Rutgers University. Lester served in the Marine Corps during World War II in the South Pacific. He was also a proud member of St. Johns Reformed Church in Sinking Spring. Lester enjoyed gardening, golfing, and his family. In addition to his wife he is survived by his son Scott L. Himmelberger, of Reading and his granddaughter Erika L. Himmelberger.
