Lester Broome

Lester R. Broome, 81, of Reading, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 2:00 pm in Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Euraline I. (Greaves) Broome. Born in Barbados, he was the son of the late Milton J. Evelyn and Myra V. Broome. Mr. Broome was employed as a fire fighter for the Barbados Fire Department and then as an auto mechanic for Boscov's at the Fairgrounds Square Mall for 25 years. He retired from Sear's Automotive Center as a mechanic and was a member of Mountain View Church of God. In addition to his wife Euraline, Mr. Broome is survived by his son Theodore R. Griffith of Connecticut and his daughter June E. McCray of Reading along with his grandchildren Ian, Randi, Michael, Jordan, Brianna, Kennadee and Quentin. He was preceded in death by his daughter Debra Kaminski in 2014 and his brother Vernon Evelyn of London, England.
Memorial Service will be held in Bean Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, North 16th & Rockland Streets, Hampden Heights on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Reverend Jeffrey R.
