Leora Scull-Moyer

Leora M. Scull-Moyer, 79, formerly of Shillington, passed away December 2, 2009 at 2:30 am in St. Joseph Medical Center Emergency Room. She was preceded in death by her first husband Paul E. Scull in 1990 and her second husband, Nathan P. Moyer, February 13, 1998. Born in Reading she was the daughter of the late Carl W. and Alverta A. (Spiese) Doll. She was a clerk and billing secretary for the former WB Boyer Pharmacy and was later employed by Rite Aid Pharmacy as a clerk working a total of 30 years, retiring in 1990. She was also employed as a foster grandparent at Topton Elementary School from 1993-1996. She was a graduate of Reading High School in 1948 and was a member of the former St. Stephens UCC in Reading where she served as president of the Women's Guild, Sunday School Teacher and Superintendent of Lower Junior Department. Leora was a Loving Mother to Paul E. Scull II of Mohnton, Terrance A. Scull of Reading and JoAnne D. wife of Joseph N. Fister of Mohnton. She is also survived by her grandchildren Matthew and Andrew Fister and Eric and Bethany Scull along with her brother Leonard Doll of Conn.
