Leonard A. Smolinski, 82, of Reading, passed away on Monday, March 2nd at 5:50 a.m. at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where he had been a patient since February 25th.
He was the husband of Sebastiana L. (Natoli) Smolinski. They were married in 1949.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Adam and Mary F. (Solecki) Smolinski.
He was a Marine Corps Veteran serving during World War II, and a member of St. Joseph's R.C.C., Reading.
He first worked as a knitter for Berkshire Knitting Mills for 10 years, before working as a foreman for Firestone and Occidental Chemical Co. for 38 1/2 years, retiring in 1990.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two Daughters: Marie M. (Smolinski) Hasley of Grinell, Iowa; Nancy L. Smolinski of West Grove; two Sons: Leonard J. of Ozark, AL; and Robert P. of Gainesville, VA. Also 5 Grandchildren: Scott Hasley, Jason Smolinski, Eric Smolinski, Jared Smolinski, and Amanda Smolinski.
He was pre deceased by a Brother: John Smolinski and a Sister: Helen (Smolinski) Otto.
