Leonard J. Kopicz, 67, of Reinholds, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Reading Hospital.

Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Verna (Miller) Kopicz.

He was a devoted Dad to his only child Lisa (Kopicz) Hunter, wife of Ryan Hunter, and loved his two granddaughters Emma and Lily. He will be greatly missed by all of us.

He was a loving companion of Cathy Stoudt. Also survived by brother Richard, husband of Sandy, brother Bruce, husband of Cathy, and sister Carol (Kopicz) Weyer, wife of Randy, all of Mohrsville. He had a niece and many nephews that he would take on fun bike rides and also created his own olympics for them.

He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Robesonia, PA.

Lenny was employed as a truck driver for 45 years, having worked with various companies over the years, including: Centerport Milk Haulers Assoc., Penn Dutch Cookie, Clover Farms, and Cardinal Trucking. He was also an owner operator and traveled across the country for many years. Lenny truly enjoyed the scenic views and nature. He last worked for Central Penn Transportation.

In his youth, Lenny was part of the Berks County 4-H Baby Beef Club, a member of Centerport Grange, ran track at Schuylkill Valley High School, and was a drum major for the Schuylkill Valley High School band. He taught himself how to play guitar and formed a band called 'Freedom'. He was an amazing singer. Lenny loved to perform Elvis Presley's “Can't Help Falling in Love” at family weddings including his daughter, Lisa's wedding. He also sang in the choir and played guitar at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hamburg for many years. Lenny had a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed jogging, riding bike, doing yard work, deer hunting and of course feeding his wild backyard critters. Lenny would strike up a conversation with anyone and always knew how to make you laugh. He will truly be missed by his family, friends, and all those who knew him but, will always be in our hearts forever.
