Laura Turner, 92, of Reading, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 8:20 a.m. at Berks Heim Nusring Center, where she had been a patient for 18 months.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Alfonso Sambrotta and Christine (Oliver) Sambrotta, and widow of the late Francis R. Turner, who passed away in 1970.
She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua R.C.C., Millmont.
She is survived by her son: Francis D. Turner of Wyomissing, and a daughter: Christine (Turner), wife of Richard Reitz of Kenhorst.
There are also three grandchildren: Deborah, wife of Tim Stevens of Baltimore, MD, Maria Fritz of Reading, and Ann, wife of Brett Levan of Exeter Twp., and two great grandchildren: Stella and Nathan.
She was pre deceased by a daughter: Mary Ellen; grandson: Richard Reitz; her brothers: John, Tony, and Patsi; and sisters: Mary (Sambrotta) Degler and Ellen (Sambrotta) Richards.
