Larry Madeira

Larry R. Madeira, 56, of South Heidelberg Twp., passed away suddenly February 16, 2009 at 3:13 AM. He was the husband of Debra A. (Zimmerman) Madeira. Born in Reading on January 29, 1953, he was the son of the late L. Richard and Pauline (Kershner) Madeira.

Mr. Madeira was a 1971 graduate of Reading High School and was employed as a maintainence mechanic by Hershey Foods in Reading. Larry was a wonderful husband and father who loved his girls and grandson.

Surviving in addition to his wife are 3 daughters Vanessa M. (Madeira) wife of Christopher E. Pack of West Cocalico Twp., Tiffany A. (Madeira) wife of Akeen R. Hartranft of Millcreek Twp. and Alyssa A. Madeira at home, a grandson Brayden T. Hartranft, a brother Gary W. Madeira husband of Janelle Madeira of Laureldale, 2 sisters JoAnn (Madeira) Rohrbach of Hamburg and Karen (Madeira) Mengel of Mohrsville. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother Ellen (Bagenstose) Madeira of Wernersville, his father in law Robert Zimmerman at home, a sister in law Lisa A. (Zimmerman) Schlappich of Wernersville and several nieces and nephews.
